Eligibility:

• Applicants should be aligned with one of ESRC's disciplines and more than 50% of the research focus and effort should be in the social sciences.

• Applications via the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Funding Service.

Scope:

• No thematic or methodological priorities; highest quality proposals will be funded.
• Proposals may include standard research projects, methodological development, large-scale surveys, or other research infrastructures.

Exclusions:

• Proposals solely for unspecified research work, research already carried out, literature surveys, general conference attendance, and several other categories are not eligible.

Additional Considerations:

• Encouragement for international collaboration.
• Consideration for data management and quality.
• Applicants are encouraged to integrate knowledge exchange and collaborative activities.
