We are currently recruiting a high calibre and dynamic account managerto continue the company’s year on year growth. This is a new role and a greatopportunity to play a key part in the next exciting stage of our journey. Weare looking for an individual who demonstrates a consultative sales ethos, inaddition to delivering a range of account management and sales activities.

This role is responsible for continuing the expansion of the BusinessDevelopment Team,  increasing customerawareness of Inventya’s full services suite. In addition, with our customerjourney at the heartbeat of the business delivery, it is essential that thesuccessful candidate puts the client at the forefront of all aspects of therole, through tasks and initiatives. Being comfortable and confident inmanaging the sales cycle from prospect to closing and follow up. Key Requirements

·       Implementing thecompany’s business development strategy to meet our ambitious growth targets

·       Growing a portfolioof clients across the North West and UK by understanding the client’sinnovation and growth requirements

·       Build and maintaina strong pipeline of leads and opportunities for our Business DevelopmentManagers in order to achieve and exceed agreed targets

Finance & Compliance Officer

Inventya is a dynamic Innovation Management Consultancy with extensive experience in delivering effective business support globally. As participants of the Scale Up Business Growth Expansion Programme, Project number 640070, funded by Innovate UK – a part of the UK research and Innovation (UKRI), Inventya have expanded their advisory services to support businesses with potential for exponential growth of more than 50% year on year.

The Finance & Compliance Officer is a crucial role for the project as it will maintain all regulatory compliance with public funds and ensure budgets are managed effectively.

Purpose

Responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements of Innovate UK in all financial and delivery aspects of the project. Designing and maintaining comprehensive compliance and governance systems to ensure processes and duties in the team flow efficiently.

Key Requirements

  • Research regulatory requirements pertinent to the project and enforced by Innovate UK and other Regulatory Agencies
  • Engage with the Project Manager and Finance & Compliance Manager to design the Compliance Plan
  • Roll out and run a comprehensive compliance and governance system with timescales and ensure deadline conformity across the project team
  • Actively promote a compliance culture internally
  • Ensure robust record keeping, compliance with GDPR and enhancement of data security of project beneficiaries
  • Manage project expenses as required
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for project staff when required
  • Undertake timesheet file audits to ensure accuracy of staff time allocation
  • Help manage the timesheet software and provide guidance to users as required
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the project managers as required
  • Collate and prepare quarterly claims by using the approved costs methodologies
  • Work closely with the Finance & Compliance Manager in monitoring the budgets and taking timely remedial actions in resolving variances from profile
  • Participate in project meetings and help identify and mitigate exposure to any compliance risks
  • Maintain the conflict of interests register
  • Assist in audits and ensure project is “audit ready” at all times
  • Any other additional duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role

Senior Innovation Advisor

This is an exciting time to join our growing company based in Warrington, and we are looking for a Senior Innovation Advisor to reflect the innovative nature of our business and the team.

Inventya is part of a team of organisations delivering Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and Innovate2Succeed (I2S) programmes supporting the growth and scaling of businesses commercialising innovative technologies. Part-funded by Innovate UK and the European Commission, EEN and the I2S programme are key instruments in the UK and EU’s strategy to boost growth and jobs.

Accessing opportunities, obtaining sound advice and proactively building partnerships and networks is vital for most businesses to be successful. A highly motivated and dynamic senior innovation advisor is sought to deliver I2S support to North West based small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Working with each company, the advisor will analyse existing innovation management capabilities and barriers, then broker and/or deliver an action plan that significantly improves the client’s innovation systems and practices, leading to increased business success. Business success is measured in terms of bringing new products to market, creation of new jobs, introducing new products/technologies into the company for increased productivity, increased turnover etc.

The successful candidate is likely to have a degree (or equivalent), have good working knowledge of innovation and commercialisation. As an experienced business person you will use your knowledge and experience to assist SME owners, directors and managers overcome barriers to exploiting their ideas commercially.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Generating leads and identifying innovative businesses with significant growth potential
  • Using holistic analysis tools to review and diagnose client needs and provide tailored support to enable them to achieve their growth ambitions.
  • Acting as a coach/mentor to support each company in the development of long-term innovation management and commercialisation strategies
  • Account managing a portfolio of clients and delivering a programme of support
  • Keeping up to date on the local, regional, national and international sources of business support

Knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in one of the following three areas: access to funding and finance (public or private sector), International supply chain development, or experience in manufacturing processes & frameworks.
  • Experience of working with high growth companies with a track record of developing good personal relationships with board of Directors or senior management in client organisations
  • Well networked with a good understanding of the local business support infrastructure
  • Experience of assessing risk through analysis of business plans, financial accounts, and other supporting information
  • Strategic and management consultancy experience especially in the commercialisation of ideas
  • Good understanding of sales channels and how to establish them to support SMEs
  • Independent self-starter who is highly motivated, with a high level of interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Broad understanding of sources of finance i.e. equity, loans and public funding (including IUK and Horizon 2020)
  • Experience and ability to interpret outputs of business diagnostic and benchmarking tools to develop/implement action plans
  • Ideal but not essential – experience in product design, ideation or design thinking

Skills:

  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to gain and hold the respect of business owners and senior staff in the businesses we support
  • Good written and oral communication skills, able to clarify complex points and summaries situations and facts succinctly
  • Good presentation skills for hosting, chairing and speaking at events
  • Influencing skills and personal drive to achieve the best outcome for clients
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • IT literate and experience of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work on own and use own initiative/self-motivated as well as working as part of a team

Driving Licence and Car owner/access is essential.

The successful candidate will be based in Birchwood (Warrington) and will be required to regularly travel to client SMEs across the North West and on occasion, the UK and wider European destinations (post COVID).

The position is funded by Innovate UK and Horizon 2020.

Salary

£40,000 - £46,000
