The CELTIC-NEXT Autumn Call 2025 is open from 1st July to 24th October 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to secure funding for collaborative ICT research and innovation projects with partners across Europe and beyond.

Who Can Apply?

Participation is open to:

  • Companies of all sizes
  • Universities
  • Research organisations

Consortia must include at least two independent legal entities from two different Eureka countries. No single organisation or country can account for more than 70% of the total project budget.

Eligible countries: - Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Türkiye, United kingdom

Funding Scope

CELTIC-NEXT supports projects across all ICT-related sectors, including:

  • 6G, 5G and Beyond
  • AI and Metaverse
  • Cybersecurity and Digitalisation
  • Industry 4.0, IoT and Logistics
  • Networks, Open RAN and Critical Communications
  • Remote Health and Critical Resilient Infrastructure
  • Other related sectors

The programme uses a bottom-up principle, which means you have the freedom to define your project’s research focus, whether it is evolutionary or disruptive.

Funding Budget:

  • Typical total project budgets for CELTIC‑NEXT range from approximately €1 million to €70 million
  • Funding support is provided as cost‑reimbursement grants—these are non-repayable and non-equity-based
  • The funding intensity, meaning the proportion of eligible costs covered, typically ranges between:
  1. 40–60% for large enterprises
  2. 60–80% for SMEs and research organisations

 

Key Dates

  • 1 July 2025 – Call opens
  • 17 July 2025 – Online Launch Event
  • 11 September 2025 – Proposers’ Brokerage Day, Aveiro, Portugal
  • 24 October 2025 – Proposal submission deadline
  • December 2025 – Label notifications

How to Apply

  1. Contact your national funding body and the CELTIC-NEXT office to discuss eligibility.
  2. Create an account on the Clusters Projects Tool.
  3. Submit your CELTIC Project Proposal template (CPP) before the deadline, along with the Confirmation Letter/Declaration of Acceptance (CLD) for each partner.
  4. If your project is approved, sign the Project Cooperation Agreement with your consortium partners.
