Purpose of the Competition

The core objectives of this competition include:

1. Facilitating international collaboration on R&D projects that culminate in the creation of innovative products, processes, or services aimed at commercialisation.

2. Fostering high market potential projects spanning all sectors, given they meet the eligibility criteria.

3. Incentivising the development of innovative products, technology-based applications, and services.

Eligibility Criteria:

The competition is open to UK registered businesses applying to Call 5 of Eurostars. The project must involve at least one partner from the Eurostars network. Non-UK applicants should visit the Eureka call for proposals webpage.

Project Proposal:

Applicants are expected to present a disruptive innovative idea that leads to the creation of new products, processes, or services. Proposals must demonstrate a strong and achievable business plan that addresses market potential, practical financial plans, timelines, and offer good value for money. Your project should be set to benefit the UK economy significantly and demonstrate potential for growth through commercialisation shortly after project completion.

Competition Entry:

Remember, you're participating in a competitive process, and your team must submit the Eurostars project application form to the Eurostars Project Management Platform by 2 pm central European time (1 pm UK time) on 14 September 2023.

Exclusions:

Please note that projects focused on non-civilian technologies, out of scope, or failing to meet Innovate UK’s and Eurostars eligibility criteria, will not be funded. Also, projects that do not submit all mandatory documentation are ineligible. Export performance or domestic inputs usage-dependent projects cannot be funded.
