Overview of the Programme and Its Objectives
The ECIV 1st Open Call supports organisations that want to work together across regions to develop and scale circular economy innovations. The programme focuses on projects that are already well developed and ready to move closer to market, specifically technologies at Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 6 to 8. The overall goal is to help transform traditional European value chains into more connected, innovative and circular systems, while supporting sustainable growth across participating regions.
What the Programme Supports
Funded projects must focus on circular economy innovation and deliver clear benefits for the environment, the economy and society. Projects are expected to:
Sectors and Domains
The call targets a wide range of sectors, including food and agro-food systems, textiles and fashion, the bioeconomy, electronics, packaging, energy systems, metals and mining, water management and construction.
Who Can Apply
Only consortium applications are eligible. Each consortium must include:
Eligible organisations include companies, research institutes, universities, local authorities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs)
Applicants must be based in EU Member States or the United Kingdom. Only organisations from ECIV funding territories can coordinate a project and receive funding.
