Project Size:
Upto £13 million

Overview of the Programme

Innovate UK is investing up to £13 million through the AgriScale programme to support the advancement and scale-up of agri-tech innovations in the UK.

The programme is delivered through two complementary strands: Industrial Research and Experimental Development. Together, they aim to help agri-tech businesses move from late-stage product development through to manufacturing readiness and commercial deployment.

The focus is on addressing the technical, operational and manufacturing barriers that prevent promising agri-tech solutions from reaching the market. Projects should improve product performance and reliability while strengthening supply chains and enabling scalable production.

What the Programme Supports

The programme supports projects that advance agri-tech products towards commercial adoption and manufacturing scale-up.

Industrial Research projects should:

  • address key technology gaps preventing validation and adoption
  • improve product performance and reliability
  • support progression towards manufacturing readiness

Experimental Development projects should:

  • focus on production at scale and market entry
  • further develop manufacturing and supply chain capability
  • accelerate end user adoption and commercial deployment
