The LCR Future Energy programme will work with SMEs in the Liverpool City Region to build their capacity and enable them to fully participate in the low carbon economy.  This will be achieved by helping SMEs to identify areas where they can improve and build, brokerage with large energy firms, product support and a consultancy framework.

The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.  Established by the European Union, the European Regional Development Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.

The role responsibilities:


  • Support the Finance & Compliance Manager
  • Maintenance and management of document systems, e.g. procurement, time-sheets, SME Files; company engagement, output evidence, etc
  • Collating claims from project partners.
  • Preparation of electronic information for ERDF project claims.
  • Preparation of documentary evidence for ERDF project claims.
  • Collating evidence relating to project spend and projects delivery.
  • Finance Administration using Sage50 Professional.

Event management;

  • Full management of events
  • Book locations for the events, liaise with location management for booking, catering and logistical arrangements. This may include tradeshows and missions.
  • Preparation – set up and manage delegate bookings including invoices
  • Arrange guest speakers & workshop facilitators in collaboration with the project team.
  • Compile delegate and speaker information for events and workshops
  • Collate relevant promotional materials, exhibition stands, name badges, delegate packs
  • Manage the event on the day, including set up, assisting internal and external colleagues, instructing external contractors.
  • Collate sufficient evidence relating to project spend and projects delivery.
  • Liaise with partner organisations to limit event clashes.
  • Undertake procurement activities and manage ERDF Publicity ensuring we remain contractually compliant.
