Funding Strands:

1. Industry Challenge-led Strand: Focusing on AI model security, software supply chain security, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) or Operational Technology (OT) security.

2. Open Strand: For projects outside the specific challenges.

Funding Details:

· Grant-based funding.

· Total project cost: Up to £32,000, with £16,000 for each stage.

Proposal Requirements:

· Clear explanation of the research area.

· Identification of the cyber security problem being addressed.

· Detailed proposed solution and initial market validation plan.

· Open to applicants from all backgrounds.

· Projects not related to cyber security.

· Defence-focused projects.

Overview: The CyberASAP programme, a collaborative effort between the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and Innovate UK, aims to invest up to £800,000 in cyber security projects emerging from UK academic research. This funding opportunity is targeted at individuals affiliated with UK academic institutions.

Programme Phases:

· Phase 1: Consists of two stages over four months:

· First two months focus on developing a value proposition, culminating in a presentation to an independent judging panel.

· Next two months dedicated to market validation activities.

· Successful projects in Phase 1 may progress to Phase 2 (not detailed here).
